DESCRIPTION:

From breeding a Genetic Stripe Male to a Pastel Female (Pastel Female #2 2001). This clutch should produce 1/2 Pastels 100% het Genetic Stripe and 1/2 100% het Genetic Stripes. This pair produced Pastels 100% het Genetic Stripe in the 2004/2005 breeding season.

Clutch #3 Genetic Stripe x Pastel #2 2001   Mom laying eggs   Mom guarding eggs   8 Good Eggs!

STATUS: 1.0 Pastels 100% Het Genetic Stripe and 6.1 100% het Genetic Stripes hatched out on May 29 2006.

I was hoping to produce a couple more pastels out of 8 eggs but that is they way the odds work sometime. Had this clutch been a Genetic Stripe x Super Pastel I would have produced all Pastels 100% het Genetic Stripe. However, with just using a Pastel you take your chances with the odds. Sometimes you come out ahead of the odds and sometimes you come out below the odds. Over numerous animals you will have a 50/50 split, however, with small clutches it's a gamble. That is one of the benifits of having a Super Pastel breeding........you are guarenteed to get all Pastels!!

Clutch #3 Genetic Stripe x Pastel #2 2001 Hatching   1.0 Pastel 100% Het Genetic Stripe & 6.1 Het Genetic Stripes   The entire clutch all cleaned up   The Pastel 100% Het Genetic Stripe Male.

From breeding a Super Pastel Orange Ghost (SPOG) Male to a 100% het Orange Ghost Female (Het Orange Ghost Female #1 2003). This clutch should produce 1/2 Pastels 100% het Orange Ghosts and 1/2 Pastel Orange Ghosts.

Clutch #4 SPOG 2004 x 100% het Orange Ghost   Mom laying eggs   Mom on eggs   Eggs in the Egg box
STATUS: 0.1 Pastel Orange Ghost (POG) and 2.3 Pastels 100% het Orange Ghost hatched out on May 29, 2006.

The POG and Pastel 100% het Orange Ghost are just amazing in person! These are offspring from a Super Pastel Orange Ghost (SPOG) Male bred to a Het Orange Ghost Female. Statistically speaking I should have produced 1/2 POG's and 1/2 Pastels 100% het Orange Ghosts, however, with small clutches you take a gamble. I did however know how many Pastels I'd produce......All, since the Father was a Super Pastel (Orange Ghost).

I'm very happy with this clutch and I can't stop checking up on the little POG Female. She'll get annoyed with me looking in on her but she'll only have to put up with it until the next batch of hatchlings come out in a couple days so it's all good :).

These are some of the best looking Pastels I've produced. Pastels produced from Super Pastels always look better than pastels produced from Pastel x Normal breedings. These guys should produce some killer POG's and SPOG's when they grow up!!!!

Peekaboo......   Clutch #4 SPOG 2004 x 100% het Orange Ghost   0.1 POG & 2.3 Pastels 100% Het Orange Ghost   All washed up......most don't like having a shower.

DESCRIPTION:

From breeding a Super Pastel and Lesser Male to a Ringer Female (Ringer x Ringer Female #1 2001). This female was bred once by the Super Pastel Male on Dec 11, 2005 and once by the Lesser Male on Feb 12, 2006 as the Super Pastel Male had lost interest in her. She ovulated on Feb 21 2006. I have a gutt feeling that the Lesser is going to father the majority of this clutch?????

Clutch #5 Super Pastel & Lesser x Ringer Female #1 2001   Mom on eggs   Mom looking a little grumpy   Eggs in the Egg box

STATUS: 1.0 Lesser and 3.3 Normal "Lesser Sibs" hatched out on June 1 2006. I must say that this male Lesser is an awesome looking Lesser!! Some of the Normal Sibs hatched out with weird patterns as well. Definately an interesting clutch.

It is interesting to note that the Lesser fathered the entire clutch. The Super Pastel male would have passed on a Pastel baby and there were none in the clutch so the Lesser is the father of all these babies. Odd wise I should have produced 3-4 Lessers (1/2 the clutch) but again it's all in the odds. Out of 100 eggs from Lesser x Normal you should produce on average 50 Lessers......and you'd be pretty close to that. However, with small clutches you don't know what you are going to get. I'm hoping that if I'm under in the begining I'll even out and be over in the end :)

Clutch #5 Super Pastel & Lesser x Ringer Female #1 2001   Normal Sibling Lessers   Lesser Male 1 2006   Lesser with Normal Sibs

The Males   Lesser with Normal Sib   Lesser with Normal Sib   Normal Sibling Lesser......Awesome pattern!

DESCRIPTION:

From breeding a Marble Borneo Male to a Normal Borneo Female. This female laid 17 fertile eggs and 7 slugs. Out of the 17 fertile eggs 14 eggs are "perfect" and 3 are partially calcified (but have veins). The Marble gene is a Dominant gene which means 1/2 of the clutch should be Marbles and 1/2 of the clutch should be normal.

Clutch #6 Marble Borneo x Normal Borneo   Mom on Eggs   Good eggs on the Right, Questionable ones on the left   The proud Dad (Marble)

STATUS: 14 Borneo's hatched out on June 10, 2006. As stupid as it sounds all of these guys look different but none scream "marble". I'm going to have to grow them up a little bit to see what I have. Out of 14 live babies that hatched I should have 7 Marbles in there and I'm sure I do......maybe even more but all these guys look "different". There are no "normals" in the clutch so we'll see what they look like when they get a little bigger.

This Pastel 100% Het Caramel Albino Male is unrelated to the Caramel Stock that produces the Regular Albinos. This lineage should actually proudce Caramels! The Pastel 50% Pos Het Caramel Male is just amazing in person. His black is a very deep black and he has a very busy pattern. These are very nice looking Pastels produced from the darkest Pastel I own.

I'm definately looking forward to hatching out more SPOG's!!

STATUS: 2.2 SPOG's (Super Pastel Orange Ghost's), 1.3 "Pastels" 100% Het Orange Ghost and 0.1 Weird (Pastel or Super Pastel????) 100% Het Orange Ghost hatched out on June 6, 2006. I'm really happy with 2.2 SPOG's out of 9 eggs. The "Pastels" that hatched out in the clutch are extremely bright Pastels. I sometimes look at them and think "Super". So, these are either the brightest Pastels I've ever produced or they are non-typical Supers. Right now I'm saying they are Pastels and we'll see what they look like in a couple months. I have no idea what the "weird" hatchling is other than an awesome looking Pastel 100% Het Orange Ghost! She is not your typical Pastel or Super Pastel but since her father is a SPOG she has to be atleast a Pastel. Just one I've never seen before!

Clutch #8 SPOG x Pastel het Orange Ghost (Pastel Het Orange Ghost Female #1 2001)   SPOG's and Pastel Het Orange Ghost)   SPOG & Pastel Het Orange Ghost)   The males.....2.0 SPOG & 1.0 Pastel Het Orange Ghost

All of the resulting offspring are normal in appearance except for orange/yellow spots randomly placed over their bodies......Almost like you dripped Orange/Yellow paint over them. We'll see what hatches out of these 10 eggs........

STATUS: 3.6 Normal "Hets" Hatched out on June 13, 2006. I didn't make any babies that look like mom but the "normals" definately look different. So, maybe I missed on whatever mom is????
